Hello, lawn enthusiasts! We have some important news about weed-control products and your ProVista St. Augustine grass. If you’re managing a lawn with this robust variety, understanding these changes can help you keep it healthy and thriving.

## The change in glyphosate use

As of recent updates, Roundup has officially removed glyphosate from their lawn-care products, and we’re now seeing that reflected on the shelves at our local stores. Glyphosate has been a commonly used herbicide for many years, effective against a wide range of weeds. Roundup has transitioned away from it in their lawn-care line and replaced it with new chemistry that will damage your ProVista.

## What this means for your lawn

Weed control. Because Roundup’s lawn-care products now use chemicals that will damage or kill ProVista St. Augustine, you’ll want to avoid those specific formulations on your lawn. You can still use other glyphosate-based products to spot-treat unwanted weeds — just follow the application guidelines carefully to protect your grass.

Alternative solutions. With glyphosate gone from Roundup’s lawn products, there are still plenty of glyphosate options to choose from. Always confirm that any alternative you pick is labeled safe for use on ProVista St. Augustine.

## Best practices for ProVista St. Augustine

1. Regular maintenance. Mow at the right height and water appropriately. Strong, healthy grass is less susceptible to weeds.
2. Integrated weed management. Combine techniques — manual removal, mulching, and proper fertilization — to keep weeds out.
3. Monitor your lawn. Watching for weeds early allows for quick intervention, which is key to managing them effectively.

## Final thoughts

By staying informed and adapting your lawn-care routine, you can keep your ProVista St. Augustine beautiful and healthy. Have questions about products that are safe for your lawn? Reach out and we’re happy to help. Happy lawn caring!
